vmware vSphere Client (Can't connect)

Hello,

I get the error, that i cant connect to the server.

If i reboot the hardware server i can manage the VM's with the vSphere Client but sometimes i lost the connection to the server. The VM's works fine only the server to connect with the client doesent work. After a reboot, it works fine again.

I use VMware ESXi 5.5.0.

Did someone have a solutions?

Thanks for help!

Hello!

Did you try to create a new vmkernel port for the management of ESXi?

The PING to host is OK?

Sorry for my English

You are talking about Server means Guest VM? is it correct?

Any particular Guest VM is not connecting or getting same error in multiple VM?

Connecting through RDP is not working or VM Console?

If issue with any particular VM, did you check adaptor type which is attached to VM? is it compatible with 5.5?

Did you check VM tools, Hardware Version?

I would suggest to remove NIC and readd it back if issue with single VM and network connectivity getting lost.

If issue with multiple VM, check Network adaptor attached on ESXi if all uplinks are working fine? Network cables are attached to ESXi NIC adaptors?

Load balancing policy and DVSwitch is configured properly?

VMs are blanaced properly in different port groups as per load operations?

Check if there is any network latency in enviornment?

Check Storage latency for that cluster and VM where it's located.

Isolate VM and datastore name in which it is stored.

Login to ESXi through SSH and run command "esxtop"

Press u, check davg value and make sure it's not more than 20ms.

If still not fixing the issue, ensure that it's not OS related issue.

Also check if VM is running with some databases/Mailbox role, ensure to have Thick eager zero disk and not thin provisioning. This may also be reason of ping failure.

All VMs running fine only the vsphere Panel is not available. All VMs running with disk provisioning, is that really the Problem?

to all issues of cannot connect   getting... vmware error( "virtualinfrastructure.utils.clientsxml" threw an exception)  while trying to log into VMware Vsphere Client 5.5

There maybe a few fixes for this however I got this out of the blue and tried various profiles to no avail...then I checked my c-drive...there was no room left....cleaned it up and voila....It didnt have any room to run....so check this first...could save u alot of grief..
