Welcome to the Community,

without any details, one can just guess. Maybe it's too dark in the server room, so that the server cannot see its disks ;-))

Make sure that the RAID (logical volumes) is configured, and use the HPE customized ESXi installation image, which contains required drivers.

Hi,

You should provide a few more details:

  • Vmware version?
  • I suppose you're referring to the internal "Storage" of "Proliant dl360", right?
  • or is it an external Storage?
  • What error message is displayed?

You can post some photos of the error message.

The attached is what I see on the server as it's saying no free space.

. HPE Smart Array S100i SR Gen10  controller works only in UEFI Bios Mode. Please recheck on system bios ion boot options, if you are on UEFI mode. Also make sure the Embedded controller is enabled in BIOS

From the image you posted I would say that everything is ok!

What's wrong with you?

Did you apply the change and reboot?

The S100i is a Software RAID controller, which is not supported on ESXi.

ESXi only supports Hardware RAID controllers, like the "P" models
