vmotion error

When i am trying to vmotion   the error is coming

Migrate virtual machine    A general system error occurred: Invalid response code: 503 Service Unavailable

On my server, some vCenter Windows services had stopped. I restarted them and now it works. I think the one causing this error was the Inventory service. I think this was caused by an overload of the system during heavy use while conducting backups.
