Hi @alankoh ,

By default, these hosts are only set to listen. To verify, you can run this command against the vswitch: esxcfg-vswitch -b vSwitch0

Note: Change the vSwitch name accordingly

This can be changed by running following command: esxcfg-vswitch -B both vSwitch0

Available options: "listen", "advertise", "both"

Hope that helps

Hi Krishnan

What is the usage of this command ?  I am not using Cisco physical switch

Does this command force the VMNIC to send its MAC address to the physical switch ?

I see that the VMNIC is physically connected to the physical switch but I am not able to find its mac address in the physical switch

Thank you
