vmkernel.log full of same message. What can I do ?

Hi,

On an ESXi 5.0 up to date, vSphere 5 Standard licence, I noticed that vmkernel.log is full of sames messages :

I disabled DVD Drive into BIOS motherboard without any result.

What can I do ?

vmkernal includes evice discovery so its just doing what its supposed to..

This message appears EACH second  !!

vmkernel.log is full of this message only !

All the time ! No other messages !

you can setup logrotation and also a centralized syslog server which will avoid your disk getting full. Look at this for more information.

this is vmware kernel log files:log/var/vmkernel.log this log stored 5 mb size.

Hello JGDubois,

I have a similar problem with ESXi 5.5 U1 and a HP DVDROM DH20N: scsiscan 976 and scsiscan 979 messages every second.

Did you get rid of your scsiscan messages? If so, what did you do to solve your problem (if you still remember)?
