vm is running on esx 3.0 and i want to migrate it to vsphere host

Hi,

i have an old server running esx 3.0 with 1 vm created with this release.

At this point i want to migrate my vm to another new server running esx 4.0 U1. I have not Vcenter and shared storage in my environment.

Is it sufficient to:

- shut down vm

- with any scp tool copy from old esx to new esx the entire folder of my vm

?

I know that when i will start vm on my new environment esx spell me to upgrade the vmtools.

Thanks in advance.

You can simple copy the file and readd to inventory.

Or use VMware Converter.
