vcenter upgrade step 2 failed and source VAMI stuck on Starting VMware Performance Charts...

HI Team,

I was upgrading VCSA 6.7 to 7. While i was on step two target vcenter got corrupted, When i checked VAMI on source VCSA it is stuck on

Starting VMware Performance Charts...100% I tried https://kb.vmware.com/s/article/67179 but it did not help. Rebooted vcsa but that did not help either.

Please help

Thank you

Same issue. Just opened a support case. Did you ever find a resolution?

Adding the below files to /var/log/vmware/upgrade stopped the upgrade process.

# touch prechecks-succeeded

# touch export-succeeded

# touch import-succeeded

The "touch  ..." part at the end of this article worked for me KB 67179: VMware Knowledge Base

extract ;

basically vami is looking for prechecks-succeeded,export-succeeded & import-succeeded files which will not be present in /var/log/vmware/upgrade, though this is zero kb file, create a file by using touch

# touch prechecks-succeeded

# touch export-succeeded

# touch import-succeeded
