vcenter gui hangs on 2nd click

Very odd behavior after upgrading to update one. When i log into Vcenter gui point the client at the vcenter server the gui will hang for 1 minute after every 2nd object i click on. Regardless if that is a datastore/vm/host. If i point the client at the individual host..this issue isnt there. During these peroids of a hung state cpu/memory on the vcenter server / database server / server that has the client are all near 0 and memory is in check (this is a lab).

after the gui comes back, i can click on another object and it comes up just fine, but after clicking on the next object i get the 1min delay

wondering if anyone had any ideas..i went as far as installing vcenter server on a new box but still have that issue.

what is the health of your vCenter DB?  When was the last time you purged events, or performed any maintenance on the vCente DB?  What is the size of your vCenter DB?  Is the vCenter DB locally or remote?  Does this happen to everyone who accesses vCenter, or only you?

Thanks

Hello, ive actually created a new database for vcenter with the same issue. Ive tried moving the DB to the same server as vcenter. Again being a lab not much IO going on.

Ive added those 2 esxi hosts to 2 different vcenters on 2 different hosts with the same outcome...oddly if i add it to a vcenter server on this other host that has a database local it works fine..go figure. Dont want to keep it on that working host because its being used for something else. Trying to compare hardware specs but dont think that matters much

Are you match minimum requirement for vCenter Server?
