We use esxi 5.5 u3 . now i will update 5.5 u3 to 6.0 .  but we use emc vaai on my system. Is there a point I should pay attention to when updating for vaai

Hi,

when performing a major ESXi upgrade it's usually required to remove and reinstall the EMC VAAI plugin using the version for the target ESXi code.

After upgrade also plugin will be there and it may or may-not work  , some case i have seen it work s but will face some issue like mpio chnages , slowness

You can verify after upgrade of esxi and if you face any issue , you can reinstall the package .
