vVOLS/VMSC

Hi All,

Is vVOLS supported yet in VMSC (vSphere 5.5 u3 deployment) using Array Based Replication (HPE 3Par Synchronous Remote Copy & Persistence storage backend)?

If not, is their a high level road map that shows when this functionality might be supported?

Thanks

‌No, array based replication is not currently supported with VASA 2.0 so vMSC and SRM is not supported unless you are using vSphere Replication. VVols itself is not supported in vSphere 5.5, it's only available in vSphere 6. Replication support is a roadmap item in VASA 3.0 but we can't disclose dates on that.

Hi esiebert7625

Yes, sorry, I was getting confused with all the clusters I have...thanks for pointing that out. I did mean for vSphere 6!

Thanks for response and confirmation mate.
