vSphere host maximums and Cisco UCS/ Nexus 1000V

This is a question for Cisco UCS integrated with Nexus1010 users. Our Network engineer has configured 10x 10GBe vmnic adapters for a Cisco UCS blade through Nexus 1010 running Nexus 1000v VSMs (pic attached below)

4 of the vmnics are members of 2x Standard switches and the remaining 6 are part of distributed switch.

The configuration maximums as mentioned in the VMware documentation is maximum 8x 10Gb ethernet ports. Is the above configuration valid or will not be supported by VMware?

Thanks in advance.

The above configuration is not considered valid.

That being said, VMware wont just hang up on you, but if they see a problem they might suggest changing it.

The official documentation states "The limits presented in the following tables represent tested, recommended limits, and they are fully supported by VMware." - so no, this configuration will not be supported.
