vSphere Web Client Shows Nothing

I just started using the vSphere Web Client because one of our servers requires it to edit the settings. However, when I login, I don't see any of my servers, datastores, etc. Is there something I have to do to add them to the vSphere Web Client? We are on ESXi 5.5.0 Update 1.

Once installed, use the administrator@vsphere.local account that was created during installation. With this account you can configure SSO, i.e. add your domain as an identity source and assign permissions to the vCenter Server's inventory/objects.

as Andre has mentioned, please use administrator@vsphere.local account, if you were managing your VC with the help of vSphere Client already then you will see your inventory already in it, but if this is whole new installation of VC then you will have to build inventory by creating Virtual Datacenter and adding esxi hosts into them etc..

see a similar thread associated with web client showing Empty inventory.
