Hi all ,

we have an esx host that has 32 GB ram  . There is 7.5 GB of memory available on host but it uses memory ballooning for 7.5 GB of memory.

why is memory ballooning occurs even though there is still available memory.

version

vsphere 4.0 U1

Thanks

Hello.

See if kb 1033115 helps.

Good Luck!

Is this host part of a HA cluster? Maybe your admission control/failover threshold settings are making it to where this is happening.. just throwing this out there..
