vSphere Management Assistant I thought it was supposed to cache my credentials. It doesn't seem to be doing that after I add a my server, any idea what I am doing wrong?

vSphere Management Assistant I thought it was supposed to cache my credentials.  It doesn't seem to after I add a server, any idea what I am doing wrong?  I can add servers etc join the domain fine howevever after performing ...

vifp addserver 192.168.0.249 --authpolicy fpauth --username root --password LetMeIn123

Any further commands are still prompting for authentication I didn't think that was supposed to happen.

for example...

esxcli -s 192.168.0.249 network

Still prompts for authentication Smiley Sad

you are missing to set target after setting up fast pass.

vifptarget -s <server ip/name>

and then carry on executing commands.

you won't be promoted for credentials.

This is expected since you need to add the server to the fast path http://www.virtuallyghetto.com/2010/11/how-to-configure-and-use-vmas-vi.html
