vSphere 6 and Exchange 2010

Hello all,

We want to upgrade our ESXis where Exchange 2010 virtual machines are hosted. We plan to upgrade to VMware ESXi 6.0 U1a.

Do you know if this vSphere version is supported by Microsoft? The OS of Exchange servers is Windows Server 2012 Standard.

Thanks

you're welocme

yes, you are right...it is not supoorted YET...but take in mind that 6.0 U1 was released last month....so you will have to wait some days/weeks until they test the release.

but it's quite clear that they will also add u1 to the supported list...so you can go forward with the update...don't worry about that

here you see the requirements of EXC2010 for hardware virtualization (requirements for hardware virtualization):

and here the supported hypervisors:

Windows Server Catalog

in the VMWARE HCL you can also see that win2012r2 is supported und vsphere 6

Hi Bruno,

Thanks for your quickly answer. I can't see VMware vSphere 6 U1a on windows server catalog page.

Do this mean that is not supported yet?

Thanks
