vSphere 5.1 Web Client - Drag and Drop

Hello,

Using the "fat" client it's possible to drag and drop a VM to a specific host. Doing so saves a lot of clicks as some wizard action is pre-filled.

Is there a similar funcionality in the flex web client or do I need to (slowly) follow all the wizard steps to achieve this?

I dont think now a days any one using FAT system.

Unfortunately it looks like the Web Client still needs some "fine tuning". Besides drag&drop, there are a couple of other things I'm missing.

"fat" being vSphere Windows Client, not the file system, or were you joking 🙂

Hi André,

I've spotted some rough edges as well... but on the whole I find it not bad.

I must admit I've ignored the web client with 5.0, but with VMware forcing us using it (new features only present  in web client + win client being dropped in future version) I spent some time trying it... but it's not there yet. I'm sure it will get there though.

One thing that really bugs me is that I constantly keep searching for the web client among the many tabs in my browser.
