vSphere 4 - old files in datastore

Hi guys,

I have a question about some files from a VM which I don't know if I need to keep it or not..

I have all this files in the datastore :

- vm01old.vmdkold

- vm01old-000001.vmdkold

- vm01old-000001-delta.vmdkold

- vm01old-flat.vmdkold

It seems to be old snapshots and the files were renamed.

The last changes have been made in 2011 of all of them. Can I delete this files?

I try to move them but I have the message in attachment?

Could you please help me?

Thanks!

That is a standard warning message you get when moving any file with the datastore browser. If you try to move a file that is in use, the operation will error out anyway. With those file extensions, I would say almost surely that those files are not in use. Good idea to move vs delete though. Smiley Wink
