vMotion and startup settings

Hello.

In my environment I saw that vMotion doesn't transfer the startup settings of an VM from one host to another host! I already read several threads but nowhere was written how this should be handled.... Are there any recommendations?

My environment: 3x ESXi 4.1 / Shared storage / Essentials Plus license

Creating an HA cluster would rectify this.

yup, any vm on your ha hosts will use the startup setting you specify in your cluster.
