Closed Point-2-Point Network environment with 2 computers, the ESXi Server and my Computer.

ESXi has default Virtual Network settings and i can ping vCenter and ESXi from my computer.

ESXi can be connected to on 443.

vCenter has problems and I can't connect to port 80, however shell access is possible

Does your machine is same network of the vcenter?

Try use telnet 192.168.178.87 443 or 5480.

I suspect it may be a firewall problem.

5480 is open port, 443 is not there in nmap

902 is in nmap but closed and refusing telnet connections

Enter https://192.168.178.87:5480 into web browser and presto

Wireshark says everything's fine

Proto Recv-Q Send-Q Local Address           Foreign Address         State       PID/Program name

tcp        0      0 0.0.0.0:5480            0.0.0.0:*               LISTEN      859/vami-lighttpd
