vCenter alarm - What does Gray color mean?

---Health of Storage changed from gray to yellow---


Why is it not from green to yellow?

Hi,

The first event alarm will start from gray -- which means it is the first time. or there is no earlier recorded trigger for that event

Sorry to resurrect a year old thread, but if that is true what you say about gray indicating no earlier recorded trigger, wouldn't that mean that whenever Gray shows up in an alert, it would be the source/first? Gray to <some other color>.

I see alerts that are Red to Gray which is confusing because obviously there was an earlier trigger that should have fired to put it into that Red status in the first place, right?
