I've been getting memory alerts on some hosts in our cluster once it reaches 75%. I run reports every week using the performance tab to determine how much memory we are using. I check max and average memory and the highest I've ever seen for memory consumed is 60%. Any ideas why vCenter reports the host is above 75% when the performance tab doesn't show that it's near that at all?
Thanks,
Scott
Hi,
you enabled DRS? if you enabled DRS you should configure properly.
DRS control CPU & Memory Usage evenly in all your cluster HOST.

Thanks for your response. Yes. DRS is configured correctly.
Have you checked your alarms, in particular "Host memory usage". It may be your triggers are too low.
I did double check. Warning is at 75%. That's what we're getting, but vCenter still only shows that they haven't been over 60%. Thanks.
