vCenter Converter 5 can't connect to host managed by vSphere

This causes an issue when you don't have shared storage and want to move the vSphere server itself between hosts.  Under prior versions you could still move servers between managed hosts.  Now you have to remove the hosts from vSphere in order to use converter to move them.

Do you have "Lockdown Mode" enabled? If so you may disable it before trying to connect to a host directly.

if your vSphere5 Hosts are being managed by vCenter5 your destination will need to be vCenter instead of a host.  With that said, you'll still have an option to choose a cluster and datastore.

Problem is when you don't have opened ports for migration to management range where is vCenter and ESXi hosts.

With option to access directly to host, you can make new port group with new management IP address and connect converted to ESXi new management and do conversion throw that new management.

In 5 you can only connect to vCenter...

Any other solution?
