Could be disk / memory / CPU causing the delay. Can you check if you have any high values for those via Task Manager?

Please check that all hostnames have DNS A and PTR records set

You might want to try using FQDNs where possible in the wizard

Also it's been reported that disabling IPv6 can help

I had the same issue and upon raising a support call I found out the new way of installing vCenter 6.5

It is installed via vcsa-ui-installer\win32

How to guide can be found at here

Try using workstation 12.0 pro. It will allocate 10 Disk in total 150 GB approx with 10 GB memory and 2 CPU.

In your case, see whether your system meets the below requirement.

Platform Services Controller Only: 2GB Ram

All components on one Appliance.

  • Tiny: 8GB RAM
  • Small: 16GB RAM
  • Medium: 24GB RAM
  • Large: 32GB - 64GB RAM

Hope, it resolves your query.

Make sure your NICs are connected on Vcenter

Hi,

I had the same issue, I found out that my firewall (Kaspersky) was blocking vcsa. Check your firewall\antivirus app.

All the best,

Hussain

Storage performance can also be a possible issue
