use of tepmlates: shared memory esxi

I created Centos template to deploy my server installations and I'd like to understand if ESXi 5.5 makes advantage about shared memory about this deplyoment. In my company every machine has its own life and I deployed them in different times; I usually don't update OS packages and every server has different installed applications so these server are not just equivalent. I know  ESXi is able to share memory pages between virtual machines, eliminating redundant pages, so with use of these templates can help this process?

ESXi uses TPS (Transparent Page Sharing) for shared pages, it is done based on the running machines at any given point of time irrespective of applications or other settings at OS. By this method redundant copies of pages are eliminated, also this technique will be use when there is a memory contention at the host level. In your case if you are using different machines (non identical application or settings) still this technique will be used.
