convert are meant for convert. for a reliable v2v i would looking into solution from veeam or quest's vranger
You can use Converter to clone a machine from one ESXi host to another but there are no automation features like scheduling and no progress monitoring, or reporting notifications with Converter. It is meant as a manual tool. You could have a look at the ghettoVCB script to create your cloned virtual machines http://communities.vmware.com/docs/DOC-8760 You can schedule the script and you can set it up to email a completion report.
It can work manually.
But standalone converter cannot be scheduled.
Check for other backup tools.

thanks for reply
are there other version ( not free) of convert whit the sceduling and reporting function ?
thanks Alberto
I believe old versions of Converter could be scheduled / scripted.
also, PlateSpin Powerconvert can run as a scheduled job . . so you could feasibly do this - though personally I'd look at something like Veaam for quick recoveries - or simple Datastore level replication / duplication and restore by PowerCli.
Consider also a non coverter solution, but a VM replication solution...
For example Veeam Backup & Replicator.
