unable to upload a VMDK file to ESXi5.5 datasotre

I have a folder on NFS share with a virtual machine I need to upload to a datastore on local storage of ESXi.5.5 server. I have Full Access rights to any of the files on the NFS share. When I try to upload any file under 10GB from a share to datasore using Datastore Browser they get uploaded, however as soon as I try to upload any file over 10GB I get an error message " You don't  have permissions to open this file"

Could you try copying the file to a local disk and upload it from there?

that's what it was. perms were individually set on files over 10GB
