unable to load new lun

hi all

i have the followin issue

was sucssefully mount new lun to ESX4 with no problem then unmap the lun from storage console without unmount it from ESx first after this run rescan storage, the lun dissappear  after this when i try to mount this lun or any lun i got the follwoing error  "HostDatastoreSystem.QueryVmfsDatastoreCreateOptions" for object "datastoreSystem-156" on vCenter Server failed.

What do you see in the logs on the host where you are trying to do the rescan?

the logs say the size excced 2 T - 512.

but now it is accepted new  LUN 2 T  and refused second LUN. really iam confused.

Sorry I don't understand this. Can you please explain.

Anyway, the LUN size limit for ESXi 4 is 2TB minus 512 Bytes. If the new LUN is larger than this size you need to reduce it.
