Hi folks,

unable to install ESXI 5.5 ESXI 6.5 when it's reach to password

it is not accepting any password i tried several times upper case letter lower case letter even special

characters could you please help me to fix my problem i am trying to setup one small lab

for learning purpose using VMWare workstation 12.5 evaluation version

Please don't mind me asking, but did you type in the password twice, i.e. in the "Root password" as well as the "Confirm password" field?
Your screenshot only shows an entry for the "Root password" field.

Hi @Shakeer01 ,

We do not see anything entered in 'Confirm password' field. If you press 'Enter' after filling initial password, it will error out. 

Once you enter the password, press 'down arrow' key and fill the 'Confirm password field.
