unable to import an OVF template

I am tryingto import an OVF template from EMC. THe downloaded file is an ovf.zip  format. WHen I unzup it , it has a .OVF folder and two files in it. One ifile s an ovf.tar.gz file , the other is an  iformational  .rtf file.

WHen I go ti import this and point to the ".ovf" folder, it does not find an ovf file.

I've imported ovf files before, but this has me stumped. What am i doing wrong?

extract that ovf.tar.gz file too.

that will give you actual ovf along with vmdk file.

Your ovf template is compressed twice. in .tar(tape archive) and .gz (Gunzip)

Use 7 zip or some other decompressing tool to uncompress and start using it.
