unable to create new vSwitch

I was attempting to create a distributed switch in my home lab, after having no idea what i was doing, i deleted the VDS.

I attempted to re-create the old vSwitch and received an error while creating the vSwitch.

I tried rebooting the host, but this did not work.

Prior to creating the VDS, I had two nics port bound to iSCSI.

I did not remove the portbinding before deleting the vSwitch, and I think this may have broke the networking.

Is there a way to fix this?

Okay so I blame alcohol for this error.

I was entering 255.255.255.255 as the netmask instead of 255.255.255.0.

Everything is working fine now.

Dont drink and mess with esxi.
