unable to connect to vCenter Inventory Service null - vsphere web client

Hi,

When I log into vCenter with vSphere web client, it throws error "unable to connect to vCenter Inventory Service null"

Checked the Inventory service logs at C:\ProgramData\VMware\Infrastructure\Inventory Service\Logs

and found

[2012-11-14 03:45:50,238 pool-12-thread-1  INFO  com.vmware.vim.dataservices.federation.FederationReconfigurator] Error connecting to peer:https://domain.com:10443 reason: org.apache.http.conn.HttpHostConnectException: Connection to https://domain.com:10443 refused

Generally it should be hostname.domain.com but it says port 10443 of domain.com.

tried reregistering from the below article, but still dint work.
