svmotioning a VM with shared SCsi controller

I need to svmotion a vm from one ds to another but the scsi controller is in a share mode.

So I plan to shut it down and svmotining it to another datastore

Can i change the scsi contoller to not shared and vm should be ok?

its not sharing with any other vm now

Hi,

The VM should be fine since you are only changing the mode and not the controller itself.

Poweroff the vm -> change the scsi sharing -> perform sv motion -> poweron the vm

it will work without any issue
