svMotion does not rename VMDK disk to the new VM name ?

Folks,

Using vSphere 5.1 Update 1

I have just renamed a newly deployed VM from vSphere Console let say from oldVMName to the newVMName.

my understanding is that after performing Storage vMotion, All of the VM components will be renamed into the newVMname, but somehow it is just renaming the VMFS directory only?

before svMotion: [VMFS_vol_15] oldVMName/oldVMName.vmdk

after svMotion: [VMFS_vol_15] newVMName/oldVMName.vmdk

How to rename the VMDK so that it match the server display name without causing downtime?

this is what I'd like to achieve:

[VMFS_vol_15] newVMName/newVMName.vmdk

Yes, you will need another Storage VMotion to rename the files.

So in this case after I execute the steps that is mentioned in the KB article 2008877, I can perform another sVmotion to rename the VMDK disk ?
