strange folder in datastore

Hi all,

I found there is a strange folder with the name .naa.6848f690d8eexxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx, and a file named "slotsfile" is in the folder.

My question:

-     is this folder important?

-      Can I delete it?

Thanks.

Don't delete it.

File or directory that starts with . are usually hidden and are used for VMFS metadata.

This is a reference to a specific datastore. You can compare the id by using the "Storage adapter" view in the configuration tab (view "paths"). Maybe you did something special with the specific datastore...

Since slotsfile are just a few kb and they are usually there for a reason I wouldn't delete it as already mentioned.
