storage vmotion from ESXi 5.1 to ESXi 6.5 with RDM

hi

i have cluster 5.1 with RMD disks , how to make live migration Storage VMotion  from storage to storage using RDM , do we have to create new LUn and copy the data inside the OS

or there is another solution '

we are wiling to migrate all our VMs to a new storage, this storage doesnot support copying LUN to LUN

so we have to go with storage vmotion.

we have some VMs that have an RDM disks, is it possible to migrate a RDM disk from one storage to another using vmotion ? or we have to convert it to vdisk ?

please help

Yeah possible...which mode RDM's are added "physical or Virtual"...depends on it we can migrate the RDMs.
