storage based migration

Hi,

I need to migrate a datastore with 1 VM and its RDM devices using storage based migration.  May I confirm the steps is correct for the esx part.  I am using the esx 6.7.

1. within the VM, disable service auto startup
2. shutdown and poweroff the VM
3. take note of the current RDM mapping
4. delete the RDM mapping
5. Remove the VM from the inventory (do i need to do this)
6. unmount the datastore

storage cutover

1. perform rescan to detect the new disk
2. re-inventory the VM
3. re-create the RDM mapping
4. Power up the VM and verify all RDM disks are visible
5. Startup the services manually
6. Enable back the service auto startup
