Does somebody run a local attached Tape drive on a ESX 4.0 Host without problems?
I try to run a local connected HP LTO3 Tape Drive on HP DL380 G6 Server with Xeon 55xx CPU. At the moment it seems there is some driver issue with my HP SA P212 Controller on the ESX host.

I'm interested to know, if someone other is running a Tape Drive on a similiar Server with another Type of Controller, which is really working.
Otherwise I have slowly the feeling, that this Directpath / Passtrought gives overall Problems with Storage Controllers on the DL380 G6 Server and also on other HW-Systems with Intel Xeon 55xx?
