/root/ks.cfg for multiple ESX installation

Dear all

1.Can I use the /root/ ks.cfg file created after the installation of a ESX to install mutiple ESX by just change the IP and hostname?

2. or have to change any other perameter like uuid?

Hi,

You will probably need to change the canonical drive names ("naa.XXXXXXXXXXXX") to /dev/sdX where X is your harddrive (first drive is /dev/sda, second /dev/sdb etc). The autogenerated ks.cfg also has some uncommented lines about using the first detected disk that would probably work as well, although I haven't used them myself.
