regenerate ssl certificate

Hi all,

Is there a way to regenerate an ssl certificate for esxi (not vcenter). Say for example when you install esxi it gives itself localhost.localdomain is there anyway you can regenerate the esxi ssl certificate to reflect a hostname change without using a CA lie openssl etc.

Yes, you should be able to run the python script in the ESXi Shell /sbin/generate-certificates to generate a new set of SSL certificates.

Ooo excellent, thanks for that I had found lots of references to the old esx way of regenerating the certificate but at the late hour I was looking into it didn't think to actually look through the sbin directory for anything else. DOH! Thanks again.
