"Processor not supported or not enabled in BIOS" Getting this error while installing vCenter Server in win 2k3 32 bit VM on workstation 7.

Getting an error "Processor not supported or not enabled in BIOS" while enabling the Hyper-v role on Win 2K8 64-bit VM Created in VMware workstation 7. Also not getting any VT option in the BIOS of Win 2K8 64-bit VM.

Second problem is that getting error " process not supported" while installing vCenter server on Win 2k3 32-bit VM Created in VMware workstation 7.

Though my base machine BIOS i have enabled VT technology & also been successfully able to  install ESX 4.1 on another VM Created in VMware workstation 7.

Please help me to resolve this two issues.

a couple things.  First is, you cannot run 64bit nested guest.  In order to run a 64bit guest you need to enable VT.  These extensions cannot be passed down from an outer VM to an inner VM.  You can only nest 32bit guests.

As for vCenter, what version are you trying to install?  4.1.x is 64bit, so you'll need a 64bit OS. You'll need to create separate 64bit guest within workstation and install vCenter on it.

Thanks Troy for your comment. Did you mean that i wont be able to install Hyper-V role in am VM created on VMware Workstation 7 or any other virtualization software. Is it like that i can never get an VT Technology option is an BIOS of Virtual machine coz i have enabled VT technology from my base machine BIOS. My base machine has an Intel i5 2500 processor.

@all your post will be very vailuable for me.
