question about UUID numbers on datastores

I have  a couple of hosts in different clusters. The clusters share some datastores, but have some unique datastores of their own. This means that some common datastores have different UUIDs across the clusters. what happens if you cold migrate or vmotion a vm across clusters. do the different UUID numbers cause any issues?

the KB Article (1006052) says about this problem and as per this vmotion will fail and it details out resolutions.

Adding a host by these four different methods produces four different UUIDs:
  • hostname
  • hostname.domainname
  • IP.address.of.host
  • HOSTNAME vs. hostname

Hope this gives out some direction.

thanks. That shows a vmotion would fail. Any idea on a cold migration?
