presenting VSA to esxi 5 host

We built out 3 esxi 5 hosts in our test environment. The VSA has been configured correctly, we have assigned the unique name from each iscsi adapter to the HP VSA throught the management console. When i try to scan for the storage the server pink screens.

Any ideas?

Interesting. I have 44 VSAs in 9 SANiQ clusters, but I have never had a host crash attempting to scan for storage. Are you using the embedded iSCSI software adapter or a hardware based HBA?

I hate admitting when it was a stuipd user error but i was trying to use the hardware iscsi adapters that appeared in the host storage config when we didnt have any on the server. Created a software adapter, configured it and all the LUNS appeared. Knew that it was something simple that i was overlooking. Thanks for indirectly pointing me in the right direction
