performance question about multiple vms and server 2013 essentials

I have this configuration

precision t3500

xeon quad core 2.66

24 gigs of ram

4+1 ethernet

This is a new build. I am planning to install pfsense, plus 2 or 3 2003 servers, plus 2 or 3 linux distros. Until now is fine but then I am not sure about installing essentials 2013 server. I want to use this as file server but I want to get good speeds like 100mb/sec between host and phscial clients on lan when doing file transfers. To achieve this I am willing to purchase 4x 2tb drives with raid card (bbu with cache).

What do you think about this? Could I get the speed that I want to get? Or performance wise how these machines will work together slow or fast?

I want to setup raid 0 with additional seperate drive to backup critical data.

Need your opinions... Thanks

Performance will be non existent when a disk fails.

Honestly, I know what you're saying but don't do this.

You want to build a server that you are going to be recovering from backup for days on end in the interests of getting 100MB/s performance?

You can achieve 10GbE throughput without RAID0. Don't do it.
