only 1 VM connects other won't

hi guys

a recently installed Vmware 4.1 ESXi, 2 Broadcom NICs -

Broadcom BCM5709C- connected to a ESW 540 Cisco Switch

we created 2 virtual machines but only on VM connects to my network we tried and tried same results but as soon as I connect the physical cable to another switch I have WSC2960G the other Virtual Machine connects to so bothVM are happy.

any idea what should I check at physcal switch level? or which I don't any special configiration for the first physical switch - ESW 540 -

any idea what are we missing?

BTW

vswitch0 = vmnic0

vswitch1 = vmnic1

thanks a lot

Not really sure, as I'm no networking guy, however there is a setting on the physical switch port which prevents multiple MAC addresses from connecting at the same time. I think you need to specify "mode access" (the "wrong setting" is s.th. like "mode desktop").
