nslookup failure during vCenter installation

Hi, All

I tried to install vCenter5.1 but I got the nslookup failure error message as attachement.

My VC server has joined domain. I have confirmed nslookup works fine for IP and hostname checking.

My vCenter is vm guest server and just has one NIC enabled with IPV6 disabled. Before vcenter 5.1

I remember that the error message from nslookup always be shown during installation. I googled for resolution

But no good help. And Some people tell that the error can be safely ignored. I am not sure that.

kindly please advise.

Have you tried to restart the server and then rerun the install of 5.1

Dunno if this will help but try setting your IP, DNS Short name & DNS FQDN in your local hosts file.
