can i set the path also in nfs format ?
for example i have as second datastore in a nas

no space for snapshot

1) do nas mount using esxcfg-nas
2) workingDir=/vmfs/volumes/<nfs location>
3) When you create snapshot, vmsd and vmsn should create in your specified location.
Try with one vm first!

Whatever you try do do, keep in mind that snapshot disks in VMware products are used as chains! Depending on the storage the performance may be degraded and I am not sure whether it is supported to have different parts of a virtual disk (base vmdk, snapshot vmdk) on different storage types.

Agreed with Andre.

my performance can degraded when i make a snapshot or also in every action of my host ( i dont need change swap but only snapshot space)
Thanks Alberto
Please take a look at the diagram under "The Disk Chain" in http://kb.vmware.com/kb/1015180
This explains how snapshots work. As you can see each of the snapshot files is in use by the VM and placing a snapshot file on another datastore type may (not necessarily) cause issue.
