newbie looking for advise on system requirments

Hello Ladies and Gents.

I am just starting to study on VMware subject. I have couple of laptops with win7 and 10 . I am planning on purchasing very low cost desktop pc to install windows server (with trial license) to install VMware to study the subject. I am not planning on studying advance subjects like "cloud".

So, what do you think about above plan?

in case you are going to study VCP6-DCV you can just buy a desktop

My home desktop spec:

  • Intel four cores I5-4690K @3.50GHz
  • 32 GB of RAM
  • 512 GB SSD as a boot disk
  • 1 TB 7.2K RPM additional storage
