new Disks / datastorage

I've add with hp ssacli tool 2 new disks as a raid 1

everything is ok on ssacli, but how can I made an new datastorage with these disks? do I need to reboot the host first?

I wouldn't think you would need to restart, maybe just ssacli rescan to rescan the controller ?

Host reboot was nesessairy ... rescan was not enough
