need your help on migration issue!

vsphere 5.5

Most time the one VM windows 2008 R2 domain controller is migrated to another host through DRS.

It causes time delay over 2 minutes.  So, some servers will get alert with 2 min off with this

VM.  Is it supposded to be with migration?

Thank you!

There shouldn't be a time out like this with DRS/vMotion. What I could think of is a network configuration issue on the physical switch port(s). Please ensure that the physical switch ports the ESXi host is connected to are configured for e.g. spanning tree portfast or RSTP.

Thanks.

Let me make clear:

We monitored several app servers time with this DC's time. An alert is fired when time is 2min difference.

We always get an alert when this VM domain controller is migrated to another host through DRS.  later, when we check time later,

they are in sync.  The only thing happens is that VM migration.

Is this supposed to happen this way?  welcome any insights.  BTW, with DRS/ VMotion, the VM stuns also. could it cause

the issue like this?

Sorry, seems I misunderstood the question before.

In case the guest OS's time differs after vMotion, there might be an issue with the ESXi host's time synchronization. Can you confirm that all hosts as well as the DC synchronize their time from a physical time server, i.e. not from each other?

What may also be wort looking at - if there's no time difference between the hosts - is http://kb.vmware.com/kb/1189.
