near-continuous data protection (near CDP) vs True CDP

The term evolved from a need to differentiate those vendor products that take snapshots on a pre-determined schedule from ones that take snapshots whenever new data is written (true CDP). This is what i read somewhere and my doubt is :-

is there any backup tools for virtual infrastructure that provides the true CDP?

I've not used this particular product, but FalconStor offers a "true" CDP solution for vSphere environments (sync/async changed block mirroring).
